CL71605 — Wallquest Carl Robinson 21 Tooting Wallpaper, Sandstorm in Carl Robinson 21

Description

The Tooting Sandstorm wallpaper reproduces a wall of pale, sand-blasted timber planks laid in a staggered panel arrangement, with the grain, knots and subtle tonal shifts of real bleached oak captured in print. Sandstorm is the lightest of the Tooting colourways in Carl Robinson’s Edition 21 ‘Gentleman’ book, a warm light tan that brings the calm of Scandinavian or coastal timber cladding to a room without a single nail.

The planks run vertically with offset horizontal joints, which gives walls a sense of height and a gentle architectural rhythm; the realism holds up at close range because the design is printed on a textured Type II vinyl rather than a flat paper. You can view the darker Tooting colourways, Twilight, Bay, Slate and Taupe, and the rest of the book in the full Carl Robinson 21 collection here.

Use the Tooting Sandstorm wallpaper as an all-walls finish in a beach-house bedroom, a spa treatment room or a café, or behind a bed as a headboard wall. It pairs with white, soft greys, sage green and linen, and it is a popular choice for hospitality and retail fit-outs where the look of timber cladding is wanted without the cost, weight or maintenance. The vinyl surface is scrubbable, making it suitable for high-traffic corridors and commercial washrooms.

Practical notes: Tooting Sandstorm comes as a 27-inch (68.5 cm) by 9-yard (8.2 m) roll of Type II vinyl with a straight match; because the plank joints are staggered the design hides seams well, but a plumb first drop is essential so the boards stay truly vertical across the wall. It can be wiped with a damp cloth, making it suitable for cafés, corridors and family rooms. For whole-room schemes order every roll from one batch, and ask our Dubai showroom for a cutting to check the tone against your flooring and joinery.
