SR21106 — Wallquest Stripes Revisited 2 Kai Wallpaper, Roasted Beans in Stripes Revisited 2

Description

The Kai Roasted Beans wallpaper is a bold block-printed stripe from Wallquest’s Nantucket Stripes Revisited collection: columns of hand-cut dark brown-black marks, like stacked coffee beans or carved wooden beads, run vertically on a natural oatmeal linen ground. The printed marks are deliberately imperfect, with soft edges and varied spacing, giving the design the character of an artisan batik or an African mud cloth.

Kai is the most graphic design in the book, and Roasted Beans is its warm, earthy colourway, sitting between the Heathered Black and Nautical Blue versions. The straight match and strong pattern make it a confident feature-wall paper, though it is also used on all four walls of small rooms to striking effect. You can view the other Kai colourways and the quieter stripes they pair with in the full Stripes Revisited 2 collection here.

Use the Kai Roasted Beans wallpaper in a living room, a restaurant, a boutique hotel lobby, a home office or a cloakroom where a contemporary, handcrafted statement is wanted. It pairs with natural linen, black metal, walnut, leather, rattan and terracotta, and it suits both global-eclectic and modern minimalist schemes.

Practical notes: Kai Roasted Beans is a 27-inch (68.5 cm) by 9-yard (8.2 m) roll with a straight match and a modest repeat, so allow a little extra for matching the block-printed columns across drops; a roll covers roughly 5 square metres after matching. Hang over a lining paper and check the plumb on every drop so the columns stay vertical. Because the print is deliberately irregular, small variations between rolls are part of its character, but still order from a single batch. Samples are available from our Dubai showroom.
