Description

The Vauxhall 54 Slate wallpaper is a soft light grey linen plain from Carl Robinson’s Edition 23 ‘Linen Palette’ in the 54-inch (137 cm) contract width. Despite the name, Slate here is a gentle pale grey with a hint of warmth, closer to a pebble than a roof tile, and the fine linen weave printed across the surface stops it from ever looking like a flat painted wall.

The wide format is designed for commercial use: fewer seams on long hotel corridors and open-plan offices, faster installation and a heavier Type II vinyl that withstands cleaning and scuffs. You can view the 27-inch residential version (CL90053) and the other greys in the range, including Mist, Smoke, Ash and Shadow, in the full Carl Robinson 23 collection here.

Light grey linen is the workhorse of hospitality and workplace interiors, and the Vauxhall 54 Slate wallpaper is an elegant, warm version of it that flatters timber, chrome, white and navy alike. Specify it for guest rooms, boardrooms, clinics and serviced apartments where a quiet, textile-like finish is wanted on every wall, and layer bolder Wallquest patterns against it on feature walls.

Practical notes: as a 54-inch (137 cm) wide contract vinyl with a random match, Vauxhall Slate is estimated by the linear yard rather than the roll and is best installed by an experienced commercial hanger with a clay-based or heavy-duty adhesive. Pale greys show substrate imperfections, so a smooth, sealed wall and a bridging liner are recommended on new plaster. The surface meets commercial washability standards, ideal for hospitality and healthcare. Our Dubai team can take off quantities from plans and allocate batches room by room.

Decor Establishment supplies Wallquest across Dubai, Sharjah and the wider UAE, with showroom samples, batch-matched contract quantities and specification support for residential, hospitality and commercial interiors. Vauxhall 54 Slate (CL95053) is held by the roll in Dubai for contract supply across the UAE, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain.
