There is a particular brief that comes across our counter in Deira every few weeks: a client wants one room to feel genuinely expensive, the architecture is plain, and the budget will not stretch to stone or joinery. That is the question behind most designer wallpaper UAE enquiries we take, and the honest answer is that a single well-chosen designer wall will do more for a room than three more pieces of furniture. The Automobili Lamborghini collection is one of the clearest examples of how that works — and also one of the easiest to get wrong, which is what this guide is really about.

What designer wallpaper UAE projects actually need
A designer collection is not simply a more expensive roll. What you are buying is a design language that has been worked out across an entire range, so that a geometric, a texture and a plain from the same collection sit together without anyone having to improvise. That coherence is the thing that reads as “designed” when someone walks into the room.
Automobili Lamborghini, produced under licence by Zambaiti Parati, takes its vocabulary from the cars rather than from interiors: hexagonal facets, blade-like diagonals, carbon-weave textures, brushed metallics and a lot of controlled shadow. You can see the house behind it on the Zambaiti Parati site. The practical effect is that the patterns have an engineered quality — repeated geometry, hard edges, deliberate light play — rather than the drawn, botanical softness of most luxury ranges.

Where a bold geometric belongs, and where it does not
This is the part worth being blunt about. Strong geometry is not a whole-house material. It works in rooms with a job to do and fails in rooms meant for rest.
It works well in:
- Home offices and studies. A faceted or carbon-weave wall behind the desk gives video calls a backdrop with depth instead of a flat painted void. See our office wallpaper page for the commercial equivalents.
- Majlis and formal reception. Rooms with strong directional lighting and low seating — exactly the conditions in which a relief geometric comes alive, because the shadow does the work.
- Showrooms and retail. Car dealerships, watch and jewellery retail, high-end fit-outs. The design language is literally automotive; in a showroom it is on-message rather than decorative.
- Gyms and wellness spaces. Dark metallic geometrics handle the scale and the mirrors well, and the vinyl grounds survive being wiped down daily.
- Hospitality. Lift lobbies, corridors and bar walls, where a surface needs presence at a glance and durability underfoot of a thousand guests. Our hotel wallcovering page covers the specification side.
It works badly in: bedrooms, children’s rooms, long narrow corridors in a villa, and any room already carrying a patterned rug and patterned curtains. A faceted repeat on all four walls of a small bedroom is visually exhausting by the second week.
Pairing a feature wall with a neutral room
The single most reliable method, and the one we talk most clients into: one wall of pattern, three walls of a plain or textured ground from the same collection. The marbled and swirled neutrals in the range are made for precisely this — they read as a warm off-white from two metres away and reveal their movement up close.

A short checklist for getting the pairing right:
- Pick the feature wall first. It should be the wall you see on entering, and it should be unbroken — not the one with two doors and a switch plate.
- Match the undertone, not the colour. A warm bronze geometric wants a warm neutral beside it. Pair it with a cool grey and both walls look slightly wrong without anyone being able to say why.
- Check it under your own lighting. Metallic grounds change character completely between 2700K and 4000K. Tape a sample up and look at it at 9pm, not at noon.
- Keep the soft furnishings quiet. Plain linens and solid upholstery. The wall is the pattern; let it be.
- Order one batch, with 10–15% spare. Metallics in particular show batch variation across a wall.
- Brief the installer on the relief. Embossed and foiled grounds mark if they are over-rolled at the seams.
Installation: these are not ordinary papers
Heavy vinyls, foils and embossed grounds are less forgiving than a flat print. Two things matter more than anything else. The wall must be primed and genuinely flat, because a metallic surface raked by side light will reveal every skim mark underneath it. And the adhesive must be right for the weight: we supply ACM adhesive from Italy with these collections, which has the open time and the grab that heavy material needs, and which will not bleed through a pale metallic ground the way a general-purpose paste can.
One more point specific to the Gulf: keep the air conditioning running at a steady temperature while the adhesive cures. Letting a room swing from 20°C overnight to 34°C by mid-morning is the most common cause of seams opening in the first fortnight, and it has nothing to do with the paper.
Buying designer wallpaper in the UAE and the GCC
Decor Establishment has distributed wallcoverings from Deira since 1974, and we hold exclusive distribution rights across the UAE, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain. For Saudi Arabia and India we welcome bulk and trade enquiries, though availability varies by brand. Stock is held locally, so most designer wallpaper UAE orders leave us within three to seven days rather than waiting on an indent — which matters when a fit-out programme has already slipped twice.
Most of our work is trade: designers, contractors, hotel groups and wholesalers specifying by the project. We also keep the showrooms open to retail clients, and with a collection like this one we would genuinely push you to come and see it. Designer wallpaper UAE buyers who choose a metallic or faceted ground from a screen are the ones most likely to be surprised when it arrives — these surfaces are about how light moves across them, and a photograph cannot carry that.
Browse the full wallcovering collection online, or look through our fabrics if you are pulling a whole scheme together. Then come to the Deira showroom in Dubai or our Sharjah branch with your plan and a photograph of the room, and we will put samples against it properly. For trade pricing, bulk enquiries or cuttings sent to your office, contact us and we will come back to you the same day.
