Looking for living room wallpaper in Dubai that looks as good in ten years as it does on day one? At Decor Establishment we have been helping UAE homes and design studios choose wallcoverings since 1974. Our showrooms in Deira and Sharjah hold thousands of designs from the brands we distribute exclusively in the UAE, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain, so you can see and touch the real thing before you decide.
Choosing living room wallpaper in Dubai
The living room is where a wallcovering works hardest. It sets the tone for guests, frames your furniture and has to cope with strong sunlight and air-conditioning all year round. A few questions help narrow the choice quickly:
- Feature wall or the whole room? A bold mural or large-scale floral behind the sofa or TV makes a statement; a subtle texture on all four walls adds warmth without competing with your art.
- How much light does the room get? Deep colours and metallic inks glow in evening light; lighter textures keep a north-facing or smaller room bright.
- What is the room’s style? Classic majlis-style rooms suit damask, chinoiserie and silk-effect papers; modern apartments suit grasscloth effects, linen weaves and abstract murals.
- Who uses the room? With children or pets, choose a scrubbable vinyl or a heavy non-woven that wipes clean.
Popular living room wallpaper styles
Textures and natural looks. Grasscloth, linen and plaster effects from Wallquest and Paper & Ink add depth that paint cannot. They are the safest choice if you want a calm, layered room.
Designer statements. Elie Saab Maison and Automobili Lamborghini collections by Zambaiti Parati bring couture detailing — embossed surfaces, metallic highlights and large-scale motifs — for a living room that feels like a boutique hotel.
Florals and chinoiserie. Hand-painted-style birds, branches and blossoms are timeless in a formal sitting room and pair beautifully with brass and velvet.
Murals. A full-wall scenic or abstract mural turns one wall into the centrepiece of the house — ideal behind a sofa or dining table.

Will wallpaper last in a Dubai living room?
Yes — when it is the right product and it is hung properly. Modern non-woven and vinyl wallpapers are dimensionally stable, so they do not shrink or open at the seams under air-conditioning. For sunny rooms, ask us for designs with good lightfastness. Correct preparation matters as much as the paper: walls should be dry, smooth and primed, and we recommend ACM adhesive from Italy, which we supply, for a strong, clean bond.

Frequently asked questions
How much wallpaper do I need for a living room?
Measure the width and height of each wall you want to cover and send us the figures, along with the design you like. Pattern repeat changes the quantity, so we calculate the exact number of rolls for you.
Can I see samples before I order?
Yes. Visit our showroom in Deira, Dubai or our Sharjah branch to see the actual wallpapers and colourways, or contact us to discuss the designs you have shortlisted online.
Is wallpaper better than paint for a living room?
Wallpaper adds pattern, texture and depth that paint cannot, and good-quality wallcoverings last for many years. Paint is easier to touch up. Many clients use wallpaper on a feature wall and paint elsewhere.
Do you supply interior designers and contractors?
Yes — most of our business is trade. Designers, fit-out contractors and developers can contact us for trade pricing, project quantities and samples.
